Our workshops are included in the price of your ticket. There is no need to book the workshops as our venue has plenty of space.  

The workshops are designed to be interactive so please bring your instrument if you have one.  You are also most welcome to sit in on any of the workshop sessions and just soak up the knowledge these artists have to offer.

Beginner and Intermediate Harmonica with Ian Green

Demonstrations on how to start playing, caring for your harmonica, breathing exercises, how to play chord

rhythm and  how to play single notes.

This work shop is designed for beginners and uses a C harmonica.

Join Martin Scuffins, fiddler for the Hardies Hillbillies and Infusers as he explores different fiddle styles and his passion for building Norwegian 8 and 9 string Hardanger Fiddles.

BYO fiddle and learn a Scandinavian tune (only 4 strings required). Whether or not budding fiddlers turn up, our audience will be treated to an intimate concert of fiddle music in one of Buninyong's most beautiful churches.

Join Geoff for a piping workshop.

 

Did the Irish really give the pipes to the Scots as a joke? Are there really more than 200 types of bagpipes? And, just what is a dudelsack? To find out the answer to these questions and more, come along to this presentation and be taken on a journey of the bagpipe from inception to present day.

You'll learn about the varied history and many forms of bagpipe through a presentation and demonstrations of various bagpipes and other related instruments.

Demonstrations on blues harmonica techniques. 

Beginner and intermediate players 

 

Ability to play single notes would be an advantage (but don’t let that stop you, we will cover single note playing too!)

 

Bending, shakes, slides and other essential blues harp techniques.

 

A number of harmonica keys will be used in this workshop including C harp, Bb harp, A harp.

This clawhammer banjo focused workshop will explore many moods of the 2 chord song "Little Birdie", through simple tuning changes.

Please bring your own banjo and tuner (if you have one).
